Well Elsewhere

We don’t travel to collect places. We travel to see where I can breath.

Well Elsewhere is a Black wellness travel journal exploring rest, healing, and belonging in unexpected places around the world. Through slow travel to overlooked destinations-quiet towns, lesser-known countries, and places rarely featured in mainstream travel media-this site centers wellbeing over performance and presence over productivity.

As Black travelers, we move through the world paying close attention to how travel feels in the body, not just how it looks. Here, we share grounding rituals on the road, reflections on mental and emotional wellbeing abroad, and honest stories about safety, calm, and cultural navigation. Each journey asks a simple but essential question: Can I feel at ease here?

This is wellness travel beyond the familiar. Travel guided by the nervous system, not the algorithm. A search for softness, balance, and belonging-wherever in the world that may be.

If you’re curious about traveling more slowly, caring for your wellbeing abroad, or finding moments of peace in places that don’t usually get recommended, you’re in the right place. Well Elsewhere is for travelers who want depth over highlights, rest over rush, and meaning over miles. Stay awhile. Read gently. And maybe you’ll discover a place-somewhere unexpected-where you can breath too.
